THE BRIDGE
The bridge is easy to form. Place you hand down on the table with your fingers spread. Raise you knuckles by bringing your fingertips in. Next, pull your thumb in tight against the hand. There should now be a 'V' between your thumb and the knuckle of your first finger. The cue goes here. Try and place the bridgehand about 9-12 inches from the white and for comfort have a slight bend in your bridge arm. This will also allow encourage you to follow through.
Try and raise and lower the bridge depending on the shot you are about to play. If a topspin shot is being played bring your fingertips in more which will raise the kunckles higher. This will allow you to aim higher on the white. When playing a deep screw the opposite is true and you should try and lower the bridge. In all cases the aim is to keep the cue as parallel as possible.
