If you are looking for some friendly competition then there are plenty of ways to get involved. The easiest way is to join a local league. You can either set up your own team or join an existing team. Most regions in the UK have their own leagues. The following websites may be helpful:-

You can also take part in local competitions. Some of these handicap the players with starts to the least able so that everyone has a chance to win. The Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds and Willie Thornes in Leicester both run regular events.
